Holiday Bash or Clash?

December 5, 2017

I recently ordered these little bottles containing essential oils. Little did I know how much I truly needed these powerful tools in my life.

The holidays bring about smiles, laughter, cheer, and warm feelings...but, if you are in any way connected to a large family the season of Joy can bring confusion, loud clashes of voices, lots of little ones weaving in and out of all the bigger ones, and warm feelings of stress. The holidays are not intended to be like this but we all get settled in our homely routines and any change can bring about the Holiday Clash instead of Holiday Bash.

I always said I would never be one of those oil people that smells of essential everything. Whoops, I spoke a bit to soon. I got this kit, what the heck do I do with it now? It came with a book on how to use your oils and get the most out of them, but I'm stressing over the Joyous Season and all the extra people in confined spaces, I don't have time to learn this stuff.  As I was heading out the door putting all of these oils back in their cute recycled earth friendly box, I noticed my favorite color: GREEN. Low and behold the magic words "STRESS AWAY" was wrote elegantly on the green label.  There was this little roller thing you could pop on the top so I popped it on, rolled it on my wrists, the back of my neck, and heck A LOT of people are gonna be were I'm going so I rolled a bit under my ear lobes along my neck. YES I now smell like one of those people. Here is a break down of what I smelled like according to the essential oil company:

The distinct mix of Vanilla and Lime gives Stress Away its unique and pleasant aroma—among other benefits, including Vanilla’s naturally occurring eugenol. This blend also includes Copaiba, which has a history of beneficial properties; Lavender, with its refreshing and calming scent; and Cedar-wood, which features the powerful plant constituent cedrol. All of these ingredients are expertly blended with the exotic scent of Ocotea, a unique, Ecuador-sourced essential oil.

Seriously, English teachers will love the descriptive voice of this Oil labeled STRESS AWAY.

Not even two minutes of having this scent perfuming into my nostrils, and the oil seeping into my skin and I notice a major change in my aura.

We arrive to the festivities and rather than feeling an overwhelming sense of lets go, I actually was able to, literally, breathe it in and enjoy the vocal banter, the yelling and piercing sounds coming from hip-high little beings that sounded like they could perform at the famous Bolshoi Theater, in Moscow, Russia. I remember thinking, "this oil may just bring back the Joy in these Holiday bashes rather than aggravating stress of holiday clashes."

Here is what Stress Away can be used for:

  • Roll Stress Away on your wrists during busy work days to enjoy its calming scent.

  • Apply to the bottoms of your feet during your evening routine for a relaxing aroma.

  • Keep a roll-on in your travel bag or purse to use before rush-hour traffic, visiting hectic airports, or taking long road trips.

  • Send kids to school on test day with Stress Away’s soothing aroma.

  • Apply Stress Away to your neck and shoulders before yoga to create a centering aromatic experience during practice.

I suppose this means, I am one of those oil people and  I need to reopen the perfectly places box of oils and discover other wonders and solutions they can add to my life.

Now the oil can't change how others react to the upcoming schedule and routine changes. Or can it? There is always the gift of giving...

...and now a recipe that can make your bellies full. Easy to make with kids, and a great dish to pass during the upcoming holidays, or for the Football parties (GO BILLS)!

Pizza Balls

Here is a video of a quick grab-n-go recipe my family loves. I will warn you, if you make them, you will need to be prepared to make more!!!
